Taryn Smithson

Taryn Smithson is a New York City based actor, singer, and dancer. She was raised in Northern Virginia and began dancing at the age of three at The Dance Academy of Loudoun. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee and is also a graduate of the Link Program.

Taryn has performed on North American Tours and at regional theaters across the country. Her tour credits include How the Grinch Stole Christmas as Dance Captain and Onstage Swing, and CATS as Rumpleteazer. She has also performed annually at the Gershwin Theatre in BCEFA’s Broadway Backwards. Her favorite regional credits include performances at Olney Theatre Center, North Shore Music Theatre, and Theatre By The Sea. She recently made her 54 Below Debut singing in Christmas in New York

 A passionate performer and educator, Taryn also judges for national talent competitions and teaches dance at studios and conservatories nationwide. Taryn’s passion for performing is only matched by her love of teaching and creating meaningful connections with the next generation of performers.
